Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s Surprising Decision to Turn Down a Disney Role Alongside Mom Angelina Jolie.

Angelina Jolie’s daughter, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, has always been known for her support of her mother’s humanitarian efforts, but her interest in the acting world hasn’t matched her enthusiasm for philanthropy. In a surprising revelation, it turns out that Shiloh once had the chance to appear alongside her mom in the Disney blockbuster “Maleficent” but declined the opportunity.

Rewind to 2014 when the world was eagerly anticipating Angelina Jolie’s portrayal of the iconic Disney villain Maleficent. In an interview from that time, Jolie disclosed an interesting tidbit: she had asked Shiloh if she wanted to play the role of young Aurora in the film, and Shiloh’s response was nothing short of unexpected. She laughed and responded that she’d prefer to be a horned creature instead.

As a result of Shiloh’s decision to pass on the adorable role, the part of young Aurora went to Jolie’s youngest daughter, Vivienne. Interestingly, many young girls who auditioned for the role were reportedly terrified of Jolie in her Maleficent costume, except for Vivienne, who took it all in stride.

In “Maleficent,” Vivienne played the role of a baby Aurora, with the older version of Aurora being portrayed by Elle Fanning. Vivienne’s scene in the film saw her gazing at Maleficent in awe and attempting to interact with her, ultimately resulting in Maleficent sending her off on her merry way.

“Maleficent” provided a fresh perspective on the classic Sleeping Beauty story, exploring the narrative from the viewpoint of Maleficent herself. The film became an instant favorite for many, earning an Oscar nomination and later spawning a successful sequel to the franchise.

Angelina Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt are parents to six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. An interesting fun fact is that all of their kids have made cameo appearances in their films. Five of them had small speaking roles in “Kung Fu Panda 3.” Additionally, Shiloh had an uncredited role in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” Maddox had an uncredited role in “World War Z,” and Zahara had an uncredited role in “Maleficent.”

In a previous interview, Jolie shared her perspective on involving their children in their films, explaining that while they enjoy having their kids make cameo appearances, their primary goal is not to turn them into actors. Instead, it’s a fun way for the family to share unique experiences on set while prioritizing their children’s well-being and development.

In the world of Hollywood surprises, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s decision to pass on a role in “Maleficent” and her family’s approach to filmmaking certainly offer a glimpse into the intriguing dynamics of the Jolie-Pitt clan.
